I flew in Sao Paulo and got a taxi to this hostel. It is located in a residential area, so by no means a party hostel. It is safe and secure. The walls are covered in beautiful artwork and there is a signing board filled with messages from past travellers.
I stayed in a 8 bed-dorm, it is large, has individual lockers and reading lights. The bathrooms are outside but no problem for me as there are plenty.
The kitchen is rather small which is a shame and it is poorly equipped. The is no can opener and no toaster! As breakfast is not included, a toaster would be great but again no problem for me as I bought cereal.
What I loved about this hostel is the friendly staff, positive vibe, good location and the other travellers that I was able to meet. It is situated in the middle of two metro stations – Faira Lima to the right and Clincas to the left. There are plenty of banks on the main road and two supermarkets. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.
The wifi works everywhere around the hostel and there is a computer you can use for free in the common room. Here you also find a television and comfy seats.
I loved my stay here, will be coming back for sure!
