Santiago

H Rado Hostel

I flew into Santiago and the caught a taxi to this hostel. It is around forty five minutes in a taxi and not the cheapest as the airport is not in the city centre. The hostel however, is in a great location, amongst many restaurants and bars within walking distance. It is near a main road, the local university and the famous Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda’s house. The main metro station is a five minute walk away.

There are plenty of places to go dancing and partying nearby. The hostel itself is by no means a party hostel. Whilst it is on the main street, there is not much street noise and it is super safe as the main door is manned twenty four seven.

I stayed in a six bed female dorm which was very spacious and there are individual lockers. It is a en-suite with plenty of hot water. The rooms are cleaned everyday and beds are made up too!

The wifi is great and there is a large communal area upstairs. Breakfast is good, toast, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, tea/coffee. The staff are really helpful and friendly. I loved this hostel, no complaints or negative points, can not recommend it enough!
